Outdoor Electric Grills - Pros and Cons

Electric grills are in essence electric ovens set on wheels and can have a number of advantages, as well as disadvantes.

Advantages of Outdoor Electric Grills

• They have no fuel requirement, just a cord and an electric outlet
• They can be self-cleaning
• The temperature can be very precisely controlled
• They don't involve fire, so can be safer than other types of grills
• They can't be taken anywhere there's no electrical source

Disadvantages of Outdoor Electric Grills

• Some models don't go over 400F
• The food doesn't have that outdoor-cooked taste

While it may appear that there are fewer disadvantages of outdoor electric grills in comparison to other grills, the taste is a major thing to many people.  If that authentic "outdoor taste" isn't that important to you, then perhaps you want to check out some electric grills.
